The Islamic Bank of Britain plc is a commercial bank in the United Kingdom, established in August 2004 to offer Sharia compliant financial service products to British Muslims. The bank has six branches in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leicester. It is the first British bank claiming to operate, in its entirety, according to Islamic principles, although non-Muslims are also allowed to hold accounts.

The Royal Bank of Scotland Group is the parent of Royal Bank of Scotland(RBS) along with with NatWest and Ulster Bank. RBS provides branch banking facilities throughout the British Isles and has over 700 branches, mainly in Scotland though there are branches in many larger towns and cities throughout England and Wales. It is completely separate from the Bank of Scotland.

Barclaycard is a global credit card and loan provider owned by Barclays plc within the UK. The Barclaycard was the very first credit card introduced in the UK, coming into service in 1966. It enjoyed a monopoly until the introduction in the Access card in 1972 when competitors started rearing their heads.
