The Royal Bank of Scotland Group is the parent of Royal Bank of Scotland(RBS) along with with NatWest and Ulster Bank. RBS provides branch banking facilities throughout the British Isles and has over 700 branches, mainly in Scotland though there are branches in many larger towns and cities throughout England and Wales. It is completely separate from the Bank of Scotland.

£28.6 Million Fine Slapped On RBS For Breach Of Competition

RBS AKA Royal Bank of Scotland has been fined £28.6million for breaking competition laws.

The bank owned mostly by British taxpayers, told Barclays how much it was charging for loans to professional firms such as solicitors and accountants, the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) said. Barclays in turn used the information to fix its own loan prices.
